The best doctor/surgeon you will find in the area
if not for him i would be blind in one eye. he has a lot of pride in his work. i drive 100 miles to go see him. he's that good.

I took my daughter for a checkup recently. She is under 2, and according to CDC guidelines, should not wear a mask. Dr. Shapiro asked why she was allowed in the building without a mask on. I pulled out a spare adult mask, and tried to explain that it’s loo large to stay on, but that I could hold it in front of her if he wanted. He told me that I should have “taped it onto her face if it was too big.” He glanced at her eyes very quickly from a distance and then left the room. I had to follow him out of the room to ask if that was the whole appointment and when we needed to book the next check up. The wait to see him was over an hour and a half and the children’s room was closed, so the wait was a nightmare in itself, but the dangerous advice about her mask and lack of actual examination far outweighed the inconvenience of the wait.
